John 17:17
17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
2 Timothy 3:16–17
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
If God’s Word is truth and His Scripture is truth, why do we continually go against what God says?
I see so many deny God’s Word of Truth not just by what they say, but in what they do. They live their lives completely contrary to God.
There is a superficial Christianity pervasively growing in the church in America. This is a general statement but one I believe is true; The church is no longer living by the Word of God.
I cannot operate my life by the standards of the world. It is either all Christ or no Christ at all.
So, what must be the disciplines of my life?
- Faith and Trust: Believing in Jesus Christ as my Savior and trusting in His guidance and plan for my life.
- Prayer: Regularly communicating with God through prayer, seeking His wisdom, strength, and guidance.
- Reading the Bible: Studying the Scriptures to understand God’s word and apply its teachings to my daily life.
- Obedience: Following God’s commandments and striving to live according to His will.
- Love and Compassion: Showing love, kindness, and compassion to others, as Jesus taught.
- Service: Serving others selflessly, using my gifts and talents to help those in need.
- Community: Being part of a faith community, the church, where I can grow spiritually and support others in their faith journey.
- Witnessing: Sharing my faith with others and living as an example of Christ’s love and grace.
Living the Christian life is a lifelong journey of growth and transformation.
