John 3:16–17 (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

God loves you. God wants to be a real part of your life. Having accepted Jesus as your Savior and Lord brings you into the light of God and His love. The Christian walks in the light and the love of God.

God made His choice for us on the Cross. Jesus died for us so we could live. Jesus became “sin for us” so we could stand before God clothed in His righteousness.

Many reject Jesus. They choose to walk in the darkness of this world. They walk spiritually empty, devoid of the love of Jesus.

God loves all people not just the righteous. We do not have to become righteous to be loved by God. “For God so loved the world.” This includes all people. We do have to make a choice. Do we live for the world, or do we live for the Creator of the World?

This is what is so sad. Many choose the darkness of this world. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” (John 3:19)

We do not work for our salvation it is the gift of God. When we choose God’s salvation we walk in His love. We experience God’s love in our lives. We learn God’s love and love others.

Believers in Christ continually learn the love of Christ. Believers prove the love of Christ by loving others. As Christ loved and died for the unbelievers, Christians are to love all people.

Do we love as Christ loves. Are we willing to give of ourselves to those who do not love us? Jesus did!
