Acts 1:7–8 (NKJV)
7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
There are things on this side of Heaven we will never know. But there is one thing we do know. Or at least we should know. When we were saved we were empowered and equipped to do the will of God. Each Christian has been gifted to carry out God’s purpose in this life.
The power of God is a spiritual, even supernatural power. We have the power of God Himself working in us. The One who created all things dwells in the life of the believer of Jesus Christ. God’s Spirit, His presence is continually working in the life of the follower of Christ.
There is nothing this world could ever offer us that we do not already have in overflowing abundance through Christ. God has given us everything we need to live our lives for Him and be successful as a child of God.
2 Peter 1:3–4 (NKJV)
3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Praise God and continue forward in proclaiming the great promise of His salvation and love.
