Romans 8:1 (NKJV)
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
There is no worse sight than that of a Christian walking in defeat. What gives a follower of Christ hope and brings excitement to his life? The believer in Christ is one whose focus is upon Christ and who knows He lives in his life.
Because the believer in Christ has the eternal hope of Christ living in him, he walks with spiritual confidence. He has been freed from the penalty and condemnation of sin. Others may judge us, but God does not.
The one who is in Christ is safe and secure from condemnation for eternity. Others may condemn us but God does not.
Now we must remember the believer will be judged for our faithfulness to Christ. We will be judged for how responsible we are in using the spiritual gifts God has given us.
Romans 8:33-39 tells us we will be judged for how responsible and faithful we were in using the Spiritual gifts God has given us. We will receive our rewards at the “judgment seat of Christ.”
A genuine believer is a person who does not “walk after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1)
God has gifted each believer with spiritual gifts! Where do we use the spiritual gifts? We use them in God’s church.
Hebrews 10:24–25 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
