Romans 8:28–31
28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
29For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
God is in your corner. God is for you. But what about yourself. God is continually working in your life. God is working for the ultimate good. We do not know what the next second holds for us, but God does. We do not know what one single event in life plays out for us, but God does. We should never take God working in our lives lightly. There is a qualification in Paul’s statement.” God does work all thing in the believer’s life for good. For those who love God, He takes all things and uses them to work through the believer according to His purpose.
God cannot take care of those who do not trust Him. God will not force a person to follow Him; to love Him. God does not force a person to accept Him.
God has called us according to His purpose. God has a purpose for our lives. As followers of Christ, we desire to do the will of God. We can profess Christ with our mouth, but do we really believe in our heart.
Paul’s great words of comfort and promise are found in verse 31, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
