James 1:2–5 (NKJV)2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Who wants to be tested? The tests of life help us to know where we stand in our Christian faith. We may profess one thing with our mouth but our actions who what we truly believe. God allows the trials to come into our lives. Did I really believe the stove was hot before I touched the stove? Is it fair that God allowed the temptation to come into my life? When we conquer temptation, we become a much purer person. We allow God to do His work in and through us. When we go through the trials and temptations of life, we grow stronger allowing God to do His work in us. When we stand up against the trials and temptation of this world and Satan, we become a greater witness to all those who see us. We demonstrate the power of the one and only God who works in and through us. We also become a positive witness to those who are working with us.An adage that has been around for a long time says, “Let go and let God.”
