2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 (NKJV)
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you.
Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
One of the greatest things we can do for each other is to lift each other up in prayer. Paul writes to the church asking them to pray for him and his companions. The church is composed of fellow believers in Jesus Christ. We, the church, must be praying for God to work in the lives of fellow believers. Praying for deliverance to be able to freely share the Word of God.
We pray for deliverance from wicked and evil people who oppose the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have the assurance of God’s faithfulness; God will strengthen and protest us from Satan. As we seek the prayers of others, we must be praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
I covet the prayers of others.
