Daily Devotion (March 6, 2025)

John 3:16-21
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

The central message of Christianity is found in these verses.

God has demonstrated His love for us through His Son Jesus Christ.

The price for our sin has been paid for. Yet, many have rejected Christ. So many have rejected God. The divine light of God has pierced through the shadows of sin, yet His boundless love continues to be denied.

Many give lip service to God but in their heart they have rejected Christ’s love by continuing to live in the darkness of sin. How much does God love? Even in our sinful rejection of Him He still loves us. Pride keeps so many from coming to God. Many believe as long as they hide in the darkness of rejection their sin will never be revealed.

Do you hide in the shadows of darkness? God knows our sin. Come to the truth of the Light of Christ. Come to the love of Christ. How many hide in the darkness. Come to the Light of the love of Jesus. Allow His love to penetrate the darkness of Satan.
