“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?” (Matthew 7:22)
Jesus at judgement will say to those who rejected Him “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.” (Matthew 8:23)
What a shock! You have been told all your life how good you are. You have been told how much God loves you and would never send anyone to Hell. And yes, it is true, God does not send anyone to Hell. Each person makes the choice themselves. Maybe the most popular verse from the Bible, John 3:16 tells us very plainly how much God loves us. God in the form of Jesus went to the cross and died for us.
Romans 5:7-8 says that it’s rare for someone to be willing to die for a righteous person, though for a good person, someone might dare to die. The emphasis in these verses is that Christ died for us while we were still in rebellion against Him.
1 Peter 1:18-21
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you
21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
I plead with people, PLEASE do not reject Jesus as your Savior! The end result in rejecting Jesus is HELL!
Does your lifestyle picture Christ living in you! There are no excuses at the “Great White Throne of Judgement”.
God, my Savior and Lord, please open the eyes of the lost in this world. Open the eyes of the lost sitting in the pews of the church. Open the eyes of those in the pulpit to speak Your truth. Father, help the church to be the church once more. Help the church to not only love you but to love one another and to love those in the world…John 3:15, “For God so loved the world.” Father, help me to be your faithful servant.
