Daily Devotion (March 17, 2025)
The verses shared this week underscore the importance of unity among believers, reflecting love, cooperation, and shared purpose for God’s glory.
Psalm 133:1-3 “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”
We the followers of Christ, the Church, are to work together in carrying out God’s will and purpose for our lives individually and collectively as God’s church.
Biblical unity is a deep connection rooted in shared faith, love, and purpose. Jesus prayed in John 17:21, “That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may be believe that you have sent me.” The unity reflects the deep relationship within the Trinity and serve as a testimony to the world of God’s love.
The Trinity is the perfect model of unity. The purpose of unity is a witness to the world. It demonstrates the transformative power o the gospel and helps the world recognize Jesus as the Savior sent by God.
