Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

God, throughout the Bible assures us because He is our Shepherd we have everything we need.

GOD IS EVERYTHING WE NEED.

We do not have to worry about tomorrow because God has already prepared everything we need.

I am sitting here waiting to go for a stress test and wondering if I am supposed to take my meds before I go. This is not my first. I’ve already given up my coffee for a day.

So, if God is our shepherd does He truly give us everything we need. The answer is yes! Everything we need. Problem for many we think just because we think we need it God is going to give it. God’s great provision is He knows and will provide not for our desires but what He KNOWS we need. Our problem is we think we know and sometimes circumvent God leading to a painful experience in life. Then we think in some way God has let us down.

The Psalm does not say God is Santa Claus. God does know what we need and provides for us.

Some where there is a song stating, “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”

Time is running out and I have to go… I would much rather stay here and hunt and peck on the keyboard of my computer but can’t.
