Daily Devotion (April 25, 2025)

Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The Holy Spirit provides wisdom, comfort, and strength, empowering Christians to face challenges, resist temptation, and fulfill their purpose.

In the days of Jeremiah, the Israelites had turned away from God and were worshiping false Gods and living in a time of injustice. Jeremiah was called to warn the people of the consequences of their actions and repent. His message was ignored and met with hostility.

Jeremiah prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. In 586 BC Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and took away many of the Israelites.

I wonder if something similar is happening in our nation today. Many people are drifting away from God. Some might go to church, but are they truly worshiping Him? They may say the right words, but their hearts are far from Him.

Here is the good news: God knows us and loves us. He has a plan and purpose for each of us. God does want us to succeed, but not in the way the world defines success. Our true success and blessing come from being close to God! His plans might not always happen the way we expect or when we want them to, but they are always for our good. He gives each of us special gifts, helps us through tough times, and leads us toward a future full of meaning and purpose.

If you are reading this, God has a plan and purpose for your life.
