Daily Devotion (April 30, 2025)

2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Living by Faith: Walking by faith means living a life guided by trust in God’s Word and His character. It involves stepping forward with confidence, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.

Who do you trust? Where do you put your trust? The Bible gives us an impressive list of those who trusted God. Abraham is known as the “father of faith”. Abraham trusted God when he was called to leave his homeland and go to an unknown land. His faith was truly tested when God asked him to sacrifice his son Isaac.

Joseph maintained his faith in God after being sold into slavery and imprisoned unjustly. He became a powerful leader in Egypt.

Moses trusted God and lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.

Ruth trusted God by staying loyal to her mother-in-law.

David trusted God to help him defeat Goliath. Throughout his life he relied on God for guidance and strength.

Mary trusted God’s plan for her life when she was chosen to give birth to Jesus. And then the Apostle Paul trusted God in his conversion then spreading the Gospel and becoming the persecuted instead of the persecutor. The list could go on and on.

The bottom line is: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
