1 Corinthians 13:1–3
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love,
I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and
all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove
mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my
body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
John 13:35 (NKJV) — 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if
you have love for one another.”
Above all else, if we truly have the love of Christ in our lives we will love.
We are not all the same! Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, “12 For as
the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one
body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we
were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or
free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body
is not one member but many.”
“They’ll Know We Are Christians by Our Love”
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord
And we pray that our unity will one day be restored
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love
Yeah they’ll know we are Christians by our love
We will work with each other, we will work side by side
We will work with each other, we will work side by side
And we’ll guard each man’s dignity and save each man’s pride
And they’ll know we are Christians by our love, by our love
Yeah, they’ll know we are Christians by our love.
