2 Timothy 1:8–9
8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,
9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,
We live in difficult times. They are not getting better anytime soon. If Christians are not sharing the Gospel of Christ, who will?
How do we share the Gospel? We are to live our lives for Christ. This means in everything we do we do with Christ in mind. We are to stand up for and with those who share Christ.
If things continue the way they are going now, it will not be long before Christianity will face outright persecution. We must take a stand now for there may be no tomorrow.
We must not be ashamed of our testimony in Christ! Christians, that is true Christians, will be ridiculed for standing firm in Christ. Christians do not live for the world nor like the world. Christians do not follow after the things of the world.
Christians do not focus on the prosperity of this world. The follower of Christ is focused upon Him and His purpose in life.
Paul says in verse 9, it ain’t about us but all about God and His purpose in our lives. God’s purpose and grace has been given to us in Christ Jesus. So today choose to live your life for Jesus. Put Him first above all things.
