Matthew 7:21–23 (NKJV)
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
We live the perfect life. We die. We are standing before the Lord and tell Him about all the great things we have done in His name.
What will He say to you?
What does the Bible say we must do to be saved? Romans 10:13 “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.’”
It means that a person calls upon the name of Lord Jesus Christ: he believes Jesus Christ can and will save him. It means that the person looks upon and believes that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that He is the Son of God who came to earth to save men. Very simply, it means that a person believes the message of John 3:16.
It means we dedicate our life to Him putting Jesus first in every aspect of our lives.
The question we must answer is, “Have I truly given myself to God?” Is Jesus the Lord of your life?
