Colossians 2:6–7 (NKJV) — 6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Daily, moment by moment, Christians are to walk in the Lord. We received Christ into our lives by faith, therefore we are to walk continually with Him by faith. We may not understand all there is in our walk but we are to walk with, in, and by His Spirit living in us. We are to walk trusting, continually trusting in His righteousness.

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:7,“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” John writes in 1 John 1:7 that we are to walk in the Light of Jesus. When we do, we have true fellowship with one another.

When we accepted Christ into our lives we accepted Him as the only true Messiah and the only one who can be our Savior. There are many false messiahs. There are many false saviors. Jesus must be the Lord of our lives. We are to walk before Him as Lord and continually serve Him as the Lord of our lives.

We must remember our destiny without Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives is eternity separated from God in Hell!! Life without Christ is a life of emptiness. It is a soul, a spirit filled with emptiness. It is the starving man begging for food with a smorgasbord of food in front of him and unable to reach it.

Receiving Jesus as the Savior of our lives is more than just going to Heaven. It is letting Jesus be the Lord of our lives. He is the true Savior and there is none else. Followers of Christ walk before Him serving Him as the Lord of their lives.

John 4:14 (NKJV) — 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 7:38 (NKJV) — 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Ephesians 5:18–19 (NKJV) — 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
