John 14:26
26But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
Acts 1:8
8But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The world cannot understand the power of God dwelling in the life of Christians. Christians do not operate in the power of worldly wisdom but by the power of God who lives in them.
Jesus promised to not only point His followers to the direction they were to go, but to also go with them. Accepting God’s salvation is not just asking Jesus to be a part of one’s life, it is the journey of life. It is accepting Christ into one’s life and walking through each day knowing God’s Spirit is guiding you in the direction He wants you to go.
God’s salvation is an experience in knowing God will empower His followers to be witnesses to the world of His love, power, and direction in life. It is living in the “hope of His calling.” Paul writes in Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus not only points us in the way we should go but also takes us by the hand and leads us in the direction we are to go. Someone wrote, “The person who guides someone to his destination literally becomes the way himself.” Jesus not only points us in the direction we are to Go but by the power of His Holy Spirit walks with us. Jesus is the Way of salvation. He is our Salvation and there is no other who can be.
To accept Christ as your Savior means giving yourself completely to Him. There is nothing left behind.
