The sticker on the back of the car reads, “…BUT GOD”
There are several “BUT GOD” verses in the Bible. The phrase is used to show God working in our lives. There is an evil force working to destroy us BUT GOD intervenes.
“BUT GOD” are two of the greatest words to hear. God intervenes in the lives of His children.
Romans 6:23 (NKJV) — 23 For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of GOD is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) — 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; BUT GOD is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV) — 6 I planted, Apollos watered, BUT GOD gave the increase.
Matthew 19:26 (NKJV) — 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, BUT with GOD all things are possible.”
Psalm 73:26 (NKJV) — 26 My flesh and my heart fail; BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Romans 5:6–8 (NKJV) — 6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 BUT GOD demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Many verses speak of God’s love and how He has demonstrated His love toward us. Romans 5:8 is the verse that shows how much God does loves us. It is God’s greatest demonstration of love. “While we were lost in rebellion against God, He demonstrated His magnificent love for us in paying the price for our sin. “For God so loved the world…” But God demonstrates His own love toward us…” I thank God for His intervention in my life. If it were not for “…BUT GOD” where would we be.
