Philippians 2:9-11 (NIV): “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Who sits on the throne of your life?
Is there a place for the throne of Christ in your life? Is there room in your life for Christ?
If Jesus is not sitting on the throne of your life who is? Maybe you have no room for Jesus. Or maybe you are sitting on the throne of our own life unwilling to relinquish it. The truth is if Jesus is not sitting on the throne, then Satan is. We make choices in life.
Some may think this is going overboard but every decision we make should meet the approval of Christ. Paul writes in Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Jesus should be a part of every aspect of our life. Some important questions to ask before we make any decision is, “Does this decision honor God?” “Will it help me grow spiritually and positively impact those around me?” “Is it consistent with the teachings of Jesus?”
Before making any decision, ask yourself:
- Does this decision honor God?
- Will it help me grow spiritually and positively impact those around me?
- Is it consistent with the teachings of Jesus?
Stop and pray Before making a decision. Reflect on how your choices align with Christ’s teaching and seek guidance through prayer and scripture.
