Daily Devotion (December 17, 2024)
Hebrews 4:12-13 (NIV):
12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
All things are laid bare before the eyes of God. Our life is an open book before God. We will give an account to Him.
God’s Word is not static or lifeless. His Word, truly absorbed into one’s life is active and impactful. God’s Word is inspiring and motivating.
God’s Word exposes our true nature.
God’s Word is penetrating, transforming lives, and revealing the deep truths about our inner selves. One of the reasons many do not want to read or study the Bible is they do not want to be convicted by God’s Word. God is omniscient and nothing can be hidden from Him. We are accountable to Him for our actions and thoughts.
God’s Word truly read and studied has a profound impact of God’s Word in our lives.
