What is the Bible says about pornography?Pronography does not just have to be visual. It can be verbal. So what does the Bible say about pornography!Matthew 5:28: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” This verse emphasizes the importance of maintaining purity in thoughts and intentions. The eyes are the window to the soul. But, it is important to maintain purity in thought and intention. “We become what we eat.” Well, that is what my mother always told me. Whatever we see, hear, taste, becomes a part of who we are. The more we participate in any of these the more influence they have over us.1 Corinthians 6:18-20, “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” This passage underscores the need to avoid sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies. Paul does not say to walk away from sexual immorality but to flee, run away, abscond, to escape from the deadly grasp of sexual immorality. Paul talks about the importance of maintaining purity and honoring God with our bodies which are temples of the Holy Spirit. Paul also wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5:”It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable.Sexual immorality can have a profound and far reaching impact on the church.1.
