Jude 20–21 (NKJV) — 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your
most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of
God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
In the last days there will be mockers of the faith. There will be those who
follow their own passions, cause division, who are worldly, and do not have
the Spirit of God in their lives.
Never put someone up on a pedestal. That is not fair to the person. Many
have fallen because they were put up on a pedestal above God.
We are to build our faith not in people but in Jesus Christ. Put God first in
your life. Pray to God through the power of the Holy Spirit. As God speaks to
you move in His Spirit.
Love God! Just as you love your family, love God! Put God first in everything
you do. Paul writes in Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do in word or
deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father
through Him.”
Keep yourself in the love of God!
Wait upon God! Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew
their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run
and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” The word “wait” is not a
passive word. We do not sit and do nothing. We continue doing what God
has called us to do until He moves us to do something else.
Jude says we are to continually build ourselves up in the faith. We are to be
praying in the Spirit. We are to keep ourselves in the love of God. We are to
give ourselves to God.
