Psalm 145:1–4 (NKJV)

  1. I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
  2. Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
  3. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised.
    And His greatness is unsearchable.
  4. One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.

This Psalm was going through my head this morning when I woke up.

I did get my cup of coffee this morning but now everything is going haywire as I lift these words up to God in praise.

“Lord, I lift Your name on high.” I think there is something trying to keep me from praising God. If I can only praise God when things are going well then maybe it is not true praise of God. I must praise Him when life seems to be failing or falling apart. Sara B., “God is good all the time.” Yes, even when the little bugs are running rampant through my mind trying to mess up my day.
I will praise God today and pass the praise of God on to the next generation.
