Ephesians 6:14 (NKJV)14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Truth! Pilate asked Jesus “What is truth?” in John 18:38.Jesus already answered this in John 14:6 saying, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” To walk any other way except in Jesus is to reject His truth and therefore reject Him. Simplicity put, girding your waist with truth is like wearing a belt. The belt holds your pants up. Without putting the belt of truth on we will continue to fall over all the lies of Satan. Success comes from following the truth of God. The truth of God is not subjective. It is not truth watered down by the philosophy of man. It is not truth taught by man. Truth is not self-centered, but God-centered. Any truth outside of God is watered down and powerless. It is incapable and powerless to keep us from falling for the wiles of the devil. Why do so many professing Christians fail? They wear the lies of Satan instead of the “truth of God.
