Psalm 41:3 The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
Psalm 107:19–20 “Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.”
Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.”
Exodus 23:25 “So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.”
Not well today. It started yesterday and now I am on my sickbed. It is Sunday and I want to be in church. The selfish part of me would be to go to church but the realistic part says stay home and do not infect others if what I have is infectious. So, I sit here sad, and praying to God for His healing.
I love reading the Scriptures about God’s healing. The greatest healing is spiritual. But God does heal physically. I thank God for modern science. Men may take credit for medical marvels, but it is God who has worked through people to develop our great medical marvels. God can even use those who rebel against Him.
So, we pray for healing, take the medication need to bring relief, but realize in all the marvels of medical discovery it is God who brings the healing.
