Daily Devotion (February 8, 2025)

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5)

The way we think is formed through what we put in our lives. What we read, listen to or watch, the company we keep all plays a significant role in shaping our thoughts and attitude. By surrounding ourselves with positive influences and God-centered content, we cultivate a mindset that reflects the teachings and values of Christ.

Attitude is a powerful tool that can transform our lives. By cultivating a positive attitude, we can navigate life’s ups and downs with grace and find fulfillment in our journey. Our attitude shapes how we perceive situations and react to them. To have the “Mind of Christ” we must surround ourselves with the things of Christ. If we pour into our lives the things of the world we will have a worldly attitude. If we pour into our lives the things of Christ, then we will have a Christ-like attitude.

The way we interact with others reflects our attitude. A positive attitude can build strong relationships; a negative attitude can create conflict and misunderstanding.

Our attitude is a powerful tool that can transform our lives. This is why developing a Christ like attitude is important. Having an attitude of love, humility, forgiveness, gratitude, patience, faith, generosity are only some of the attitudes of Christ we should develop in our lives. How do we develop them? By studying the life of Christ, by allowing the Spirit of Christ to live in our lives, by surrounding ourselves with followers of Christ.

This is why Paul wrote in Philippians 3:10-11, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”

What is influencing your attitude?
