Romans 3:10–14 (NKJV) — 10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no,
not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after
God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become
unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” 13 “Their throat is
an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison
of asps is under their lips”; 14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and
bitterness.”
It began in the Garden. Adam and Eve “lived the life.” They walked with God
daily. There was great fellowship with the Creator. What more could they
have asked from their Creator? Then the temptation came. Satan came into
their lives with his lies.
Because Adam and Eve succumbed to the lies of Satan, we too are
vulnerable to his lies. And yes, we fall into the same trap they did. We are
deceived into believing Satan over God.
God’s people have had a very difficult time living in His truth. God has
brought forth great prophets and the people rejected them. God has built
great nations and the people still rejected God. God established the church
and people continued to reject God and made the church a place of
entertainment. (I write in generalities.) The church has become nothing
more than a relic, a memorial of the past. We no longer need the place of
worship, fellowship, and discipleship. We have become like the history found
in the Bible. What God has created we have torn down.
We come together to worship a God who no longer rules in our lives. We
allow the truly educated lecturers to direct our path. We, like our first
parents, listen to the lies of Satan and come to question God.
These verses indicate that the whole of man’s inner being is controlled by
sin: his mind, his heart, and his will. God’s people have begun to believe the
lie. Soon the nation will fall. We will be like Adam and Eve and lose our
home. We, the United States of America, will be like Israel and come into the
subjection of another nation, a pagan nation. We will be stripped of all the
relics that embraced the God of the Scriptures.
We, like Paul wrote, no longer understand, no longer seek after God. We
have turned aside from God. We have become unprofitable. Unless Jesus
hastens His return, the United States of America will be written in history
books as a once strong nation that forsook God and fell as so many others
have done.
