Jeremiah 29:11-13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11–13.
God had a plan for the Israelites: Peace, prosperity and a plan with a bright future filled with hope.
God would hear their prayers…but they must call upon Him and seek after Him with all their hearts. Why is it so many never hear the Word of God?
We must Call on God with all our heart. Our relationship with God is more than just saying we have accepted Him in our lives. The relationship is an eternal commitment to Him.
Our hearts must be turned to Him. Instead of listening to the world we must call upon God, listen to God and follow Him. Verse 13 says the only way to find God and hear His voice is to search for him with all our hearts.
No wonder the Christian faith is failing in so many peoples lives. They are seeking for God’s blessings without being committed to Him and His ways.
Are we listening to God and His Word.
God has a plan for our lives filled with His peace and hope.
We must actively be in prayer and seeking God.
Our relationship to God calls on us having a wholehearted commitment to Him. We cannot have a wholehearted commitment to Him and live for the world.
Our lives are committed to God. We seek God in studying His Word. We are in constant prayer with Him and we trust His plan for our lives. Our faith in God is not just receiving His promises it involves wholehearted devotion to Him.
