Psalm 90:10 (NKJV) — 10 The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by
reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and
sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
I know Who Holds Tomorrow
I don’t know about tomorrow,
I just live from day to day.
I don’t borrow from its sunshine,
For its skies may turn to gray.
I don’t worry o’er the future,
For I know what Jesus said,
And today I’ll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.
Refrain:
Many things about tomorrow,
I don’t seem to understand;
But I know who holds tomorrow,
And I know who holds my hand.
Live your life for today. This is the day God has given you. Now that I have
made it into the eighth decade of life, I grow more aware that tomorrow is
not promised to anyone.
We must make the most of the day, the moment we live in. Each day a
multitude of people take their last breath not knowing it would be.
The future for each of us may not last beyond the next second. We must
realize that the moment we are in now is special. In Jeremiah 29:11 God
tells us “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD,
thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
The great future for those who have accepted God in their lives is Heaven.
Each moment on this earth should be lived with God as the center of life. We
will die unless Jesus comes first. Our legacy could be all about self or it could
be all about Jesus. What is important in this life is God.
I do not know if we still sing this song in church:
Living for Jesus a life that is true,
Striving to please Him in all that I do;

Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free,
This is the pathway of blessing for me.
O Jesus, Lord and Savior,
I give myself to Thee,
For Thou, in Thy redemption
Didst give Thyself for me;
I own no other Master,
My heart shall be Thy throne,
My life I give, henceforth to live,
O Christ, for Thee alone.
