Daily Devotion (July 7, 2024)
Ephesians 2:8–10 (NKJV)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Are you a Christian? You were saved by the Grace of God. It was through faith in Jesus Christ and had nothing to do with any works you could do. You did not save yourself. Salvation is all about Jesus.
You made a choice about who you would belong to. We either belong to the rule of Satan or the rule of God. Many make a false profession of faith in Jesus and continue to walk down the path of sin and degradation. They live a life devoid of Jesus. As a Christian this is not true of you. You realize God has a plan and purpose for you. LIVE IT!
Even before you were born God chose you to follow Him. In God’s all knowing ability God knew you would choose Him. He had and has a plan for your life. LIVE IT!
God has given you the best of who He is. Now you are to give God the best of who you are. Paul writes in Romans 5:8–9 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” God proved His love for us on the cross. How do we prove our love for Him? He gave His very life for us so we could live for Him.
