Ephesians 6:14, “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”
The battle never ended. The defeat took place. Jesus was born, lived, and taught. He chose His disciples and for 3 years he led them and trained them. Then came the cross. Satan thought he had won. Then the tomb, and the resurrection.
We never give up, we never give in, we stand upon the truth of God. Satan knows he lost the war. Just as he went into the Garden and stole the soul of Adam and Eve he is still at work to steal the soul of people today. Satan does not care about those outside of Christ. He is at work in the lives of Christians. As he infiltrated the Garden he is moving in the church today.
Lies, upon lies, upon lies Satan is eviscerating, dismembering the church. Ignorance of God’s Word is found rampant in many “houses of worship” today. Satan placed within the mind of Adam and Eve, “Did God really say?” Most Christians cannot answer that question because they do not know what God said. So, they listen to the pulpiteer espouse a false doctrine not knowing the truth from a lie.
The truth of God is not subjective, it is not of man. It is not self-centered but God-centered. God’s truth sets us free. John 8:32, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
God’s Truth is to be worn by the believer in Christ. It is the Word of God that builds up the follower of Christ. Once tasted God’s Truth whets the appetite of the believer leading him to want more and more of the knowledge of God.
God’s Truth is not words of hot air. God’s Truth is not spoken in vain. Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
The Word of God is Truth and challenges the believer!
Is the Word of God challenging you? Or do you listen to the fluff of a pulpiteer spewing words to make you feel good for the moment?
