1 Peter 2:9–10 (NKJV) — 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Christian brothers and sisters know who you are!
You are a child of God. When you accepted Christ you were adopted into the family of God. God the Father has one natural son, Jesus Christ. Jesus has the Father’s perfect nature. He is holy, righteous, and pure. God’s one and only son came to earth to save a lost humanity by dying on the cross. John writes in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
When we accepted Christ into our lives immediately God’s divine nature was planted into our hearts and life.
WHEN WE ACCEPTED CHRIST, WE WERE BORN AGAIN! Jesus says in John 3:3, “…Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
WHEN WE ACCEPTED CHRIST, WE RECEIVED A RENEWED MIND. Paul writes in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
BECAUSE CHRIST LIVES IN US, WE HAVE BECOME A NEW CREATION. 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
HAVING ACCEPTED CHRIST INTO OUR LIVES WE HAVE RECEIVED A NEW SPIRIT. Ezekiel 11:19, “Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh.”
As a Christian know who you are and who you belong to! Allow the Spirit of God to live in and through you. You are a child of God. You belong to God and He lives in you.
