John 8:32 (NKJV) — 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

In John 18:38, Pilate asked, “what is truth.”

People today do not want to know the truth. So many people want to live in a fantasy world that does not exist or at best is improbable.

As a Christian I must know the truth. Knowing the truth is more than just being able to quote a passage of Scripture. It is more than memorizing verses from the Bible. TRUTH IS TO BE LIVED OUT IN LIFE. Too many have a head knowledge of the Bible but there is no heart knowledge. Too many can quote a verse of Scripture but that verse is never played out in their life. When most professing Christians encounter a non-Christian, the professing Christian is eaten up by the non-Christian because the professing Christian does not know Christ! (Sorry for the rant) Head knowledge is good but in the Christian faith it will never get a person in right relationship with God.

Biblical truth does not compromise with evil. Whatever is evil is of Satan! There must be no appearance of evil in the Christian life! Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:22, “Abstain from every form of evil.” The United States of America is a fallen nation. It is fallen, in my humble opinion, because the church in America is fallen. In many churches no longer is the Bible being preached from the pulpits of the church.

Christians have been set free from the shadow of doubt and despair. Jesus has revealed the truth to us. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

The truth of God has set us free from the bondage of sin.

Many never experience the true freedom of Christ in their lives because they have accepted Christ so they can go to Heaven. They have never accepted Christ to have a personal relationship with Him. Therefore, they are just an empty shell of a person without a savior. Their life is empty, dark, and miserable.

Jesus has come to set us free. He is the truth to eternal life. Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
