Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
8But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
We have the equipment to do but do we have the power?
The power we have is the Holy Spirit. We receive the power of the Holy Spirit when we accept Christ as our Savior.
What ever God has called us to do He has equipped us with the ability and power to do it.
The disciples of Christ received the Holy Spirit to do the work of God. Each one received the same power. The Power of God was spiritual and supernatural. The power was from God, it was of God Himself. It was the power given to carry out God’s calling.
Today we received the power of God’s Spirit in our lives when we accepted Christ in our lives. God has a calling for each of us. We are given the equipment to do everything we need to do the work of God.
What God has called us to do is no small insignificant task. We are to be His witnesses to the world.
How do those without Christ learn about Him? It is through believers sharing Christ with them. Having been saved, you have been called and empowered to be a witness to the world. Now GO and be a living witness of Christ to the world.
