Where and in whom do you put your trust?

Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

Isaiah 12:2 “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my Salvation.’”

Psalm 37:4–6 “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass. 6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.

Psalm 28:7 “7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.”

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Yesterday I placed my trust in a doctor with a scalpel in his hand. He started to carve on my face and ear. This evil was lurking in my body, and he was going to eradicate it by carving away on my face and ear. It is amazing how we trust people we do not know.

A doctor who we have never met before dressed in his doctor apparel with a knife in his hand we patiently trust to cut on us. But, let a person approach us with a knife on the street and we will run.

Turn to our trust in God or Satan. Who do you trust! Honestly, most people put more trust in Satan than God. We read (?) the Bible, God’s Word, but do we follow God? Be honest, do you follow God in all your ways.

There was another person in the room as my face and ear were being altered. It was the nurse. She made sure that I was prepared for the doctor to do his carving. She cleaned the site where he was going to cut. She numbed the area where the incisions were going to be made. She spoke comforting words of instruction and what was going to happen. I knew when I left the office the nasty, horrible cancer would be removed.

There is a cancer that lives in the lives of all people. It is the cancer of sin. Sin in whatever shape, fashion, or form is against God. If the cancer is not removed it will lead us to eternal damnation. The cancer removed from my body was not going to kill me. That is unless it was left there where eventually would grow and become stronger and affect other parts of my body.

Sin is a cancer that does affect us. It has and still does separate us from God. For those who do not have the cancer, sin removed from their lives they not only live in a state of separation from God but will eventually spend eternity in Hell with Satan.

Who do you trust? The God of all creation or the god of all destruction?

Remember Proverbs 3:5-6
