Daily Devotion (March 14, 2025)

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2

Joshua 8:1-2

“And the Lord said to Joshua, ‘Do not fear and do not be dismayed. Take all the fighting men with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, his city, and his land. And you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king. Only its spoil and its livestock you shall take as plunder for yourselves. Lay an ambush against the city, behind it.’”

The victorious life comes only through believing the instructions of God.

A person who does not believe God is attached to the world and only to this world. If we do not believe God we are dependent on the strength of the world. God created us to be dependent upon Him. Through the strength of God, we become “more than conquerors through Christ who has love us.” (Romans 8:37)

So much I learned in old age. I wish I had listened more in my youth!

The Apostle Paul exhorts the younger Timothy to “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.” (2 Timothy 4:2)

I must encourage every Christian to preach the Word of God everywhere you go.

Satan has his forces, and they are relentless. They will not stop at nothing to destroy the life of a Christian.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
