Daily Devotion March 2, 2025
19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Christians, followers of Jesus Christ come together to worship God.
The writer of Hebrews writes that we should draw near with a true heart and faith in Jesus. We come together holding fast the confession of faith with hope. We do not waver in our belief in Christ.
We, Christians, are to LOVE one another. The love of a Christian is not the love of the world. The love of the Christian is rooted in God’s love. It is a selfless, unconditional love. This love looks out for the well being of others. The love of the believer in Christ is motivated by a desire to love as Christ has loved us. It is a sacrificial love.
The love of a Christian is seen through acts of kindness, forgiveness and service to others.
Christian love seeks to reflect God’s love to the world building up the community of believers.
Christian love emphasizes humility, patience, and a servant’s heart.
Hebrews 10:25 tells us we should come together worshipping Christ, encouraging each other. This world is not an easy place to live. Christians are being thrown into the fiery furnace, the lion’s den each day. We need the encouragement of fellow believers in Christ. We need to experience the love of Christ in others and demonstrate His love in fellowship with other Christians.
