Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
I read this sentence “WHAT IF THE WORLD TOOK JESUS’ STORY SERIOUSLY FOR A CHANGE?” I thought, “What if each Christian took Jesus seriously?”
Do we as followers of Christ truly take Jesus seriously? Jesus said if we exercise true faith in Him, we could move mountains. I have seen very few Christians who have moved mountains. I have witnessed many small hills moved. I have witnessed buildings erected and large congregations gather on Sunday Morning. But very few mountains moved. We tend to consider other people’s unbelief without focusing on our own.
Faith does not necessarily begin with an atomic bomb explosion. It usually starts small. When we accept Christ into our lives, we discover a new world. We discover a world of life without fear. We discover life in the of power and LOVE of Jesus Himself. A life of not just self-control but being controlled by the power of the Holy Spirit. We discover our lives have been transformed, our minds have been renewed. No longer are our thoughts those of the world but of Christ and His purpose for us.
These thoughts are foreign to most. They want to be God’s voice but only as it has to do with what their will is. There is an evil force. One that existed before the creation of man. It is the force of Satan. We must overcome the evil of the world. God has given us a spirit of power and love and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Someone said to me a long time ago, “Gary it ain’t all about you.” This person was talking about my fear of inadequacy. It is still there today. The point was, as a Christian we have God’s Spirit living in us. We must be willing to stand and stand firm in the Word of God. We must be willing to be that Watchman on the Wall. Ezekiel 33:6 “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.” I am that watchman in God’s church. I teach faith, I must live Faith.
