Philippians 1:6 (NKJV), “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
God never quits nor gives up. We should never quit or give up!
Whatever God has called us to He will complete in us.
Christians can have confidence in God’s salvation. We know God through a personal relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit lives in us. The Spirit of God lives in us completing His calling in our lives. Salvation is more than going to Heaven. God’s salvation is a calling to be and do the work of God in this life.
God uses us to bring about a revolution in the world. A war is being fought around us. When we accepted Christ’s salvation we signed up in His army. Our calling in God’s work is incomplete until the day God calls us home. Daily we are being trained to fight the good fight of faith. Our training is on the job training.
Satan is alive and well on planet Earth. His army is hard at work. They are not sitting and doing nothing. We must take seriously our calling. We must constantly train and be about the work God has called us to do.
Paul writes to Timothy, “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.“ (2 Timothy 1:12) We made a commitment to God in salvation to follow Him wherever He leads us. We made a commitment to His calling in our lives. We made a commitment to not only be but to do what He has called us to. As Christians, we are in the Army of God.
