Ephesians 3:16–19
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Paul’s prayer for the church. Paul on his knees before God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ prayed for strength and power for the church. He prayed for Christ to rule and reign within the lives of believers. He prayed for Love and understanding of the spiritual things. Paul prayed for the believers to know the love of Christ and for the fullness of God.
Paul’s prayer was very specific. God has an eternal plan not just for the church but for those who make up the church. God has a plan of salvation. God has a great plan for His church. Paul’s prayer was for each individual member (Christian) in the church to be dependent upon God. Paul prayed for the church to be sincere in honoring God.
Maybe in a world turned upside down the church needs to be brought to its knees. Many in the church have more than one god. They go to church with the pretense of worshiping God but end up worshiping a god that does not exist.
The motivation of the Christian comes from within. It is the presence of Christ living in the life of each individual that moves him to follow Christ.
Worship is all about God!
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Have you been crucified with Christ!
