Daily Devotion (May 9, 2024)
Philippians 1:3–5
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy,
5 for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,
Are you praying for the church, your church? Paul prayed throughout the day for the church. Pray with joy for your church. Love the church. It is God’s church.
True joy comes from God. It does not depend on circumstances or happiness.
Do you thank God for your church? The source of our fellowship is found in our salvation, the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ.
One of the most critical needs facing the church today is the need for peace and unity. This is found only through the Spirit of God living in the life of each member of the church.
Acts 2:42 “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
