Hebrews 10:22–25 (NKJV) — 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and
our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our
hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us
consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not
forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some,
but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day
approaching.
The writer is admonishing the followers of Christ to:
- Draw near to God with a TRUE HEART. In full assurance of faith. God
has proved He is faithful we need to show our faithfulness to Him. - Do not waver in our faith no matter what. God has never let His
children down. - Love one another. Stir up the love in the church. Do the work God has
called you to. And yes, God has a purpose for you in the church. Do it.
Do it in the power of God. His Spirit lives in you if you are a Christian. - Here is the biggie. Don’t just go to church. Don’t just sit in a pew
waiting for something to happen. GET INVOLVED. Be there. - Exhort one another. Encourage one another in the church!
Be involved in the church. Start today being a real part of the Family of God.
