1 John 1:5–7 (NKJV) — 5 This is the message which we have heard from
Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and
do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son
cleanses us from all sin.
God never intended for us to walk in darkness. God never intended for us to
walk outside of who He is. God is light wherever He is the brilliance of His
light shines. We know there will come a time when true believers in Christ
will continually walk in the light of Christ. Revelation 22:5, “There shall be no
night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives
them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.”
We, Christians, are the light of God walking in the darkness of this world.
Matthew 5:14–16, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill
cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but
on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your
light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify
your Father in heaven.
We are to let the Light of Christ shine in us. There is a pall of darkness in the
world. It is past time for the Light of Christ to shine. We as believers,
followers of Christ MUST be out in the highways and byways of this world
sharing Christ, the Light of the world. We cannot allow the Light of Christ to
just sit idol in our lives. There is a spiritual warfare no longer just a brewing
in our world…it is active. The lava of the demons of Hell are about to erupt in
a way we have never witnessed. Turn the TV on and you see the evil in the
streets. Listen to the radio and you hear the music of the evil in America.
Are you truly a believer in Christ. Not just a believer in your mind…a true
believer in your mind, body, soul, and spirit. If so, you are called to join a
battle of spiritual warfare. We cannot walk in the darkness of this world. We
cannot fellowship in the darkness of the evil one, Satan. We carry the light of
the World within our very being.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14–16,“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” You made the choice to join God’s army when you accepted Christ. Now, go and fight for God and the prisoners held captive by the evil one, Satan.
