John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
God loves His creation. Do you know God did not die for the vegetation. God did not die for the animals or the aquatic beings. God, in the form of Jesus died for His greatest creation…US. However you would want to say us, it means when God created Adam he belonged to God.
Genesis 1:26–27 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Adam was created to live in a perfect world created by God. Every day he walked with God and fellowshipped with God. Then God created Eve from the rib of Adam, and they together walked with God and fellowshipped with God. Then sin entered their lives. They lost that fellowship with God. They lost their home in paradise.
God loves! He did not leave Adam and Eve to die in their sin. God has not left us to die in our sin. God has given to us a perfect love. The love of Christ to live in and through us.
Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
1 John 4:9–10 “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” We were created to fellowship with God. How could God love those who hate him? God’s love is perfect. He does not just love those who love Him.
One question (actually 2 but they are similar) keeps running through my mind. How can one profess salvation in Jesus Christ and then continue to live for the world.?How can one who has accepted Christ as Savior allow the sin of the world to dominate his life?
