1 Peter 2:1–4 (NKJV)
1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
What or who is the foundation of your life? Whatever is not of God get rid of.
It is that simple.
As a follower of Christ. Having accepted Christ into our lives changes us. Christians live in the world but are not part of the world. The Christian should not be influenced by the world but should live his life in such a way others would want to be like Christ.
Verse 4 continues, “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious.”
Jesus is the foundation of the church. If we are to be a part of God’s church, then Jesus must be the foundation of our lives. The world rejects Jesus. The Christian builds his life on Jesus and Jesus only. We must remember the world rejected Jesus. The world wants to build on its own vain philosophy and way.
If a person is going to live a successful life in Christ he must build on the living stone, Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the Solid Rock. No matter what comes the Christians way, knowing our life is anchored in His sacrifice and righteousness is amazingly strengthened.
What or who is the foundation of your life?
