1 Corinthians 12:12–13 (NKJV)
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of
that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or
Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one
Spirit.
Has anyone ever told you that you as an individual are important?
You are important because you were formed in the womb of your mother.
God knew you then. God knew you even before you were formed in your
mother’s womb, (Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew
you; Before you were born I sanctified you.”) But that is a devotion for
another time. What is important is that you are. You are who God has
created you to be. So be who God created you to be. There is only one who
can make that choice for you. No one else can!
Far too many live their lives out and never know who they are. They just
meander through life living without knowing.
Having accepted Christ as Savior and Lord, God has placed us into a family,
the family of God. The family is important. The song emphasizes how
important the family of God is.

The Family of God

From the door of an orphanage to the house of the King,
No longer an outcast, a new song I sing;
From rags unto riches, from the weak to the strong,
I’m not worthy to be here, but PRAISE GOD! I belong!

As a believer, a follower of Christ you have a home. We all have a home.
That home is the church, the Body of Christ. Your presence is important.
More importantly, it is being what God has called you to be. Understanding
what God has called you to be, you are to do what God has called you to do.
We, as a part of the family, need the family. The family needs us. You need
the church; the church needs you. We must never let anyone tell us we do
not belong. We belong because God has placed us where we are. Study the
Spiritual Gifts found in the Bible. (1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, Ephesians
4, and 1 Peter 4)
Get involved and be an active part of your home, the
church.
