Daily Devotion (September 11, 2024)Proverbs 3:5–7 (NKJV)5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.Trust God! The focus of our trust is God! It is all about God. God is our Creator, our sustainer of life. It is God who has created us. We are not our own. Our life belongs to God. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”It is not easy to give our life to God. Most believe they have the choice of what they do. The reality is we either give our lives to God or to Satan. There is no in between. The Proverbs says, “Trust God with all your heart.” One hundred percent trust God. Give to God every ounce of your being. Trust God with every aspect of who you are. My sister said, “I would accept Christ but….How many have rejected Christ because they want to rule their own lives. Evil is anything we do outside of God’s will or purpose for our lives.Romans 14:23 “But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.” Romans 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.”Trust God. Depart from evil. Evil is anything we do outside of God’s will.
