Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

About a week ago I used these verses in the body of my devotion. I commented on them with these words: “No matter how bad things get we must know God is and God is in control. We know the end of the story. God wins!”

Christians, and those who are not, walk in the same world. There should be a difference in how we walk. The Christian focuses on God and the true Light of this world. It is not always easy (Understatement)! We walk in a world filled with darkness and it is continually getting darker and darker.

Tomorrow is another day. I am not a soothsayer nor a prognosticator. I cannot tell you what will happen in the next minute. I am thankful I do not know what will happen. What I can do is live in the moment God has given me. We do make plans knowing they may not happen. Christians, TRUE BELIEVERS IN GOD, know God is in control and look to Him for guidance. We trust God in each minute of the day, in each step we take. He is our vanguard. As God led the Israelites out of Egypt with the “pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night” He leads us and directs our path.

Trust does not come from the head but from the heart. It is not the result of reasoning; it is the result of believing. “Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

We must move forward in total trust in God. One person wrote, “Trust is an all or nothing proposal. Partial trust is not trust at all. Either God is trustworthy, or He is not.” If God cannot be trusted with all, He cannot be trusted at all.

God has shown me worry is not of Him. He is in control. Proverbs 19:21, “There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.”

The world needs “true” believers, followers of Christ. Satanic darkness is quickly covering the nation. We watch the news and see our nation being overtaken by illegal immigrants. Worse than this is the invasion of satanic darkness flowing into the lives of professing Christians who are being blinded by a false conception that all we have to do is profess God with our lips and not our hearts. Being a Christian is not giving God control a portion of our lives, it is giving God everything we are.

Romans 12:1–2 (NKJV)

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
