Jeremiah 29:11–13
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
God has a purpose for your life! You do not just exist having been born and knowing one day you will die. That little hyphen between the date of your birth and death has meaning.
Whatever is happening in your life right now God can use it now to bring hope in the future. Many are living their lives in an imprisoned life of despondency, discouraged by the circumstances of life. God has set us free from the captivity of Satan. We have to make a choice. We can just sit back and wait for God to work or we can call upon God, hear His voice and listen to Him.
A great promise of God is this: SEEK GOD AND FIND HIM! Halfhearted faith is not faith at all. Our faith may be small at the beginning of our journey in following God but it is all the faith we have. When we sincerely trust God and seek Him God will honor it by allowing us to find Him. Our faith will grow! But this is important…we must seek Him with all our heart.
Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.”
John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”
